A few more ideas…

my son does a lot of creative writing (he likes to make books with my other kids, he writes, they illustrate)
making cards (birthday, thank you, etc) and writing letters to people
labeling things he/she often touches
label games or toys they play with often
summer reading contests (just to get them to read more)
get braille menus where available

How have you worked to incorporate braille into the lives of your children at home? My mom has placed velcro labels on our microwave at home. I have been heating my own food up ever since then and I enjoy doing it. I have lots of braille books at home that I read during my liesure time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this topic.
