Debbie,
Where can I buy Connect 4?
As for jinga, the one with colors I'm not sure how to adapt because even if
you put braille on the blocks, they are stacked so you cannot read the
braille. The jinga game I refer to has a dice with four colors. You roll it
and it lands on a color. Then you pick that color block from the tower. The
colors are red, blue, green, and I think yellow.
I have residual vision, but am having trouble distinguishing blue and green;
not enough contrast. So, someone has to help me identify the blue from green
if that is the colors I land on. As I said, regular jinga contains all the
same blocks and poses no problem. If I were totally blind, it might be hard
to find the top of the tower though.
Jinga is really fun, especially to see the tower grow and later on in the
game, you have to strategize where to pick your blocks to avoid knocking
over the tower!
Other games I like are Bingo, scrabble, and trivia. My favorite game is
Uno.
Its been a while since I played checkers.
A good game that is. It gives you a chance to practice thinking and
strategy since you really have to think of a good move to block your player.
I forget how to play snakes and ladders. If you don't mind, please tell me
about it and basics of playing it off list.
While not a board game, I also like twister.
Thanks,
Ashley
