Hi Judy,
Have you received all the assessment results and studied them. Also, have
you received all your rights and responsibilities and proposed goals? By
the way, what state do you live in? If you are in CA, I may be able to help
you. Have you received the Safe Guards? If you want to talk, even if you
are not living in CA, you can email me privately as I used to be a Teacher
of the Visually Impaired. I promised myself to empower the parents, as I
have seen a lot of injustice in the school system. I am myself almost
totally blind.

Best Regards,

Subject: [blindkid] Questions for IEP

I have a nine year old daughter that is visually impaired, she has her big
IEP meeting coming up in two weeks. Although she is provided excellent
service, as her parent I don't just want to go into this meeting sitting
back with no questions to ask. Can anyone offer any good advise on how to
prepare my husband and I to be our child's advocate, what are some good
questions to ask?
Thank you in advance, Judy

Judy Smothermon
