[BlindKid] Im new to the mailing list

Hello Brigette, welcome. We have sixteen-year-old twin boys who are on the spectrum and both do self-harm and have gone through stages of harming others. :( One of ours has enough vocabulary to get his needs met, usually and the other has none. At your daughter's age, the verbal one could sing a lot of songs and tell us foods and toys he wanted but naming things that stressed him was beyond his capability. How much does your daughter speak? Have you begun to identify triggers that set her off? Do you talk to her about EVERY sound you hear? Have you addressed sensory issues? (I know, I just asked a WHOLE bunch of daunting questions.)
