[BlindKid] Math Homework on the PC

Yes. It does, a great deal. I've got one using a QBraille, and one using a focus 40. Is math type something that is at all needed when it comes to algebra, or will simply using word do the job.

All of our blind students do all their math work in word-- we do have a few who have difficulties with math concepts so will outputs math work as needed so we gauge toward cognitive level..

We have been teachingthis way for around 18 years. They read from a Nemeth code math book so the braille is under their fingers and then they output it in word using a braille display. Then of course email it to their teachers just like their peers.
You can do UEB math or Nemeth code math depending on what they have learned on a good braille display.  The majority of people are still using Nemeth code. Most of our students use the focus 40.
