The attached document is a Q and A regarding the new Air Carrier Access
Act Regulation that became applicable on May 13. I thought some on this
list would find it a resource worth having, though I am sending it for
its resource value rather than to stimulate discussion.

The Aviation Enforcement Office has issued a Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ) document concerning the air travel of people with disabilities
under the amended Air Carrier Access Act regulation which is effective
today (copy attached). You can also access the FAQ at
http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/ . The purpose of the FAQ is to help
airlines that provide service to passengers with disabilities assist
those passengers in accordance with law and to offer air travelers with
disabilities information about their rights under the ACAA and 14 CFR
Part 382 (Part 382). The FAQ also contains suggested practices for
carriers to use on a voluntary basis to implement Part 382.
