try contacting your county bar association as they may havae a lawyer 
referral program. In many locales the local bar association will refer you 
to a lawyer and you can have a consultation (usually 30 minutes) for a 
nomianl fee. If the lawyer and you come to terms you then negotiate with hm 
cxdirectly. There also may be lawyers on this list practicing in New York 
state. As I am in California I have no knowledge of specific laws in New 
York.
