the  Paul G. Hearne Award for Disability  Rights     
Dan  Goldstein and Greg Care, representing the National  Federation of the 
Blind secured a cooperation  agreement with Ticketmaster to make its website 
fully  accessible to the blind by year's end and Dan settled  litigation 
that the NFB and blind individuals had  brought against the Law School 
Admissions Council, on  terms that will require its website, including all the  
applications to law school, to be fully accessible to  blind users by September 
1, 2011.

Also,  we are very proud that the ABA has selected our  partner Daniel 
Goldstein and Dr. Marc Maurer,  president of the National Federation of the 
Blind, to  receive the American Bar Association's 2011 Paul G.  Hearne Award for 
Disability Rights.  This award is presented each year to an individual who  
has made significant contributions to furthering the  rights, dignity, and 
access to justice for people with  disabilities. 
Through  their combined leadership and advocacy over the course  of more 
than twenty-five years, Dr. Maurer and Mr.  Goldstein have revolutionized the 
world of technology  and the ability of blind and low-vision individuals to  
access it. As a result, millions of people have access  to technology that 
has become an indispensable part of  living in the twenty-first century - 
from software and  web sites to ATM machines, voting machines, cellular  
phones, iTunes, and e-books - that otherwise would  likely have remained largely 
inaccessible.
