 American Judicature Society's resource available at

 .
 You can select any state and read how the state court system is set
 up. State courts are paramount in defining many constitutional rights,
 as state courts hear thousands of constitutional issues every year
 while the U.S. Supreme Court will hear maybe 80 cases. I hope this
