[Blindmath] Article: 'R' language bringing statisticalanalytics to the masses (Q&A)

Hi Julie,
Grace will do the best with at least 18 point font. There are some
accommodations under the accessibility menu on the computer that can do
this without special software. We can also explore vision specific
software for enlarging next year if the built in accommodations in the
computer are not sufficient to meet her needs.

Steve

Hi,
Yes, you just have to go into properties and change rgui to rterm.
This
will get R to default to a terminal instead of the GUI. If you have not
yet
tried out R, when you first download it, since it defaults to the GUI,
which
is very JAWS non-user-friendly, it will seem like R is really
incompatible.

The only limit of R is it does require a fair amount of learning on
the
user's part, but if you are willing to put the effort in, it is worth it
in
my opinion as it is smaller than SPSS and similar programs and is free,
always a plus:).
Many thanks,
Christine
