[Blindmath] Chemistry

Madeline,

I did find out that there is a whole separate braille for Chemistry. My student will not know how to read that since she has never learned it. It's not enough for us to be able to transcribe it, the student also needs to know how to read it.

Bente

Hi Bente,

I don't have any useful information for you (and apologies if I got your hopes up!). But I wanted to say that I'd also be interested in any techniques to improve chemistry accessibility, so if the moderators will indulge a short digression, I'd be happy to see any answers on the list.
If there is a "Blind chemistry" list available, that would be good to know, too.

Thanks,
Madeleine Rothberg
