[Blindmath] LaTeX compilers for Windows

In Word, you have two choices the newish (Word 2007 and later) built-in
math editor, or MathType, the upgrade to the older builtin "Equation
Editor".

As noted, MathType itself is not accessible. However, MathType allows you
to type a subset of TeX math (texvc) into Word and then convert it to
MathType/normal visual displayed math with a key command (alt-\) or via a
ribbon menu. You can toggle between MathType and TeX, although the TeX
produced by MathType is a bit ugly because it adds more {}s than are
minimally needed. As example of what you would do to create a nice looking
fraction in Word with MathType: type your text in Word and when you want to
enter a fraction, type:
$\frac{x^2-1}{x+1}$

Type alt-\ and it will convert into a nice 2-d fraction.

If you are comfortable using Word and distributing or printing from Word is
something useful, that might be the way to go. You can also use Duxbury's
DBT or ViewPlus's Tiger Software Suite to get printed braille from
Word+MathType if needed. At the risk of being overly commercial, here's a
link with details if you need them:
