[BlindMath] Areas still to work on?

Unless it's changed in the last few years, the Graphiti doesn't allow you to feel as you draw. You have to touch with one finger and basically guess what you're drawing. When I draw, I draw with one hand and feel what I'm doing with the other. If I did that on the Graphiti this would mess up my drawing. I really hope the Monarch's drawing mode is better than this, because I essentially couldn't use it.

Since those of us who are blind use our hands to look it helps when you can draw and see what your doing at the same time. Using the pen you didn't know if you hit the right spot or missed till you went back and looked. I am not saying don't try but you might sit down with the companies that have made tactile displays and worked with field testers to see what the problems were b efore going down a road.

You'd take this "pen" type device, and as you run it over the pad, Braille dots would pop up, and the computer would register what you're doing. You could type in letters on the computer, letters and numbers and symbols, where you want, and they'd appear under the pen, too. The back end of the pen would send a different signal, to erase things. You could sketch just about anything that way, actually. The tech exists, though it's not something most people could afford, except for the government, student loans, etc.
