State Specific Workers' Compensation (WC) Procedures*
Summary: We are updating this POMS to include the 2019 revisions to
Oklahoma's Administrative Workers' Compensation Act (AWCA). This revision
addresses a temporary assessment the Oklahoma Tax Commission collects from
injured employees awarded or who settled claims for permanent partial (PP)
or permanent total (PT) disability compensation and amends the maximum
amount and duration of some types of workers' compensation (WC) payments.

Summary: In October 2024, the agency reached a court settlement agreement
with the National Federation of the Blind to broaden the use of electronic
signatures to sign certain forms. As part of the settlement, the agency
issued EM-25010, which underwent extensive review by OAIPO, ODP, OISP,
OCALJ, OAO, and OGC. Furthermore, the agency must incorporate the
instructions in POMS and HALLEX by October 17, 2025. This transmittal
establishes a new POMS section, which incorporates EM-25010. It describes
the agency's policy for accepting signatures under the commercial product
alternative signature (CPAS) process.

Summary: This Emergency Message (EM) provides instructions for processing
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims involving noncitizen applicants
and redeterminations involving noncitizen recipients. It clarifies that all
noncitizen applicants must have their immigration status verified through
the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Systematic Alien Verification
for Entitlements (SAVE) program, regardless of the type or appearance of
the immigration document presented. Similarly, all noncitizen recipients
must have their immigration status re-verified through SAVE when there has
been a change in immigration status and during SSI redeterminations.
