> Greetings,
>
> Are you excited about attending our upcoming state convention but need financial assistance in order to attend? The National Federation of the Blind of Washington has some funds available to assist people who want to attend the 2026 NFBW state convention in SeaTac February 26 - March 1. Please fill out the form linked below. Use the estimated convention costs below to help you figure out how much you will need. Also tell us how much of the cost you can pay for yourself. A statewide committee meets to determine awards. The committee includes all of our chapter presidents so you don’t need to fill out a separate form to ask for chapter assistance. If you are a DSB customer you should also talk with your VR counselor about providing funding. The deadline to apply for financial assistance is Sunday, January 18, 2026. The Award Committee will review all applications and will notify all applicants of its decisions by Sunday, January 25.

> The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination, and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.
