[CCCNFBW] July Chapter Meeting and Summer Get Together

Hello everyone,

 

I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. I wanted to send out a
reminder that we do not have a monthly chapter meeting this month. Currently
the National Federation of the Blind National Convention is happening in
Austin Texas and with it being so close to when we meet we usually do not
have a meeting in July. If you are interested in watching any of the
sessions that have been recorded you can go to
http://www.youtube.com/@NationsBlind to view them. 

 

We did not discuss our summer get-together at our last meeting. We sometimes
do our get-together on the date of our normal August meeting. Our normal
meeting date for August is August 8th. Do we want to have our get-together
on that day? What would we like to do for that event? I have had it
suggested that we have a bowling party. How does that sound to people? Or
does something else sound good? I would like to get feedback from others as
to what we should do. 

 

I also wanted to get information from people on if they are interested on
being on a chapter text thread. If you could let me know if this is
something that you are interested in or something you would rather not be a
part of I would appreciate that information.

 

And finally, I wanted to remind everyone that our Wine and Cheese event is
quickly approaching. We need to be trying to get donations for our baskets
and be selling tickets for the event. I have included attachments of the
flyer and our in-kind donation letter for those that may need it.
