As summer ends, make sure you join with the NFB Central Maryland Chapter to
change what it means to be blind. We'll hold our first meeting September 6,
6:30pm, at the Other Barn in Columbia. We're excited to discuss traveling
as a blind person at this meeting, so please come ready to discuss your
experiences and learn a few tips from others to navigate your way to
independence. We plan to apply what we learn by going out as a group to the
Columbia Mall for our October Meet the Blind Month Event.

Topics to be covered:

1) Chapter Business

2) Tino's Fundraiser on September 26

3) October Meet the Blind Month Event

4) State Convention at Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards, 110
South Eutaw Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 from October 28 through October 30
Register at https://nfbmd.olivero.us/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=1

5) Travel experiences as a blind person

If you need transportation, please remember to contact Sharon Maneki by
email nfbmd at earthlink.net or phone at 410-715-9596 and bring a contribution
to the transportation fund if possible to the meeting.

The Other Barn is located at 5851 Robert Oliver Pl, Columbia, MD.
