Hi All,

Our next NFB chapter meeting on Tuesday, November6th at 6:30 p.m. is fast
approaching. The Other Barn is located at 5851 Robert Oliver Pl, Columbia,
MD.

During the October meeting we caught up with each other after the summer and
had discussion regarding convention and the holiday party meeting.

Joe has arranged for Beth Silverman from Howard County's Office of Consumer
Protection to give us a briefing on what she and her office does. She is
planning to be ready to start about 7 PM on November 6. She is planning to
spend about 30 minutes and then leave some time for questions. Please let
me know if there are any suggestions of things you might want to hear from
Beth.

In two short weeks we will be at our state convention at the Carousel hotel
in Ocean City. As you think about packing your bags, don't forget to bring
your NFB Swag (shirts, hats, scarves, etc.) for spirit night on Friday,
November 9. Get ready to try hockey with the Washington Wheelers. Join our
NFB cheer leaders and demonstrate our Maryland spirit. Don't forget to
bring door prizes and items for our bake auction. Of course, bring money
too.

Where else can you go to a picnic and a play at the same time get in the
holiday mood? Our picnic and a play on Friday evening at 6:00 PM does just
that. The Braille is Beautiful performers have been busy practicing Santa
Rides Again.

In addition to fun and fellowship, the convention will be filled with
information and inspiration. The full convention agenda is at
http://nfbmd.org/node/263

The tentative agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1.	Chapter business
2.	Guest speaker, Beth Silverman from Howard County's Office of
Consumer Protection
3.	Information about convention
4.	Finalize information for December Holiday meeting
5.	Presidential release time permitting
