[Central-MD-Chapter] A Great Opportunity

Hello,

With regard to the Jaws offer, the only requirements for eligibility is that
you have a working email address. It is intended to help workers and
students during COVID-19, but it is also intended to help blind people who
because of COVID-19 or other reasons do not have readily available access to
live readers.

The license will end on June 30 (unless Vispero extends it) because they are
trying to bridge a gap we are experiencing now. There are other ways to get
Jaws discounted, e.g. a program where you pay $100 annually and get the
latest version of Jaws.

Hi Sharon,

I joined a Mens Talk group recently. At first they met in person. Now they
can't and started meeting using computers and Face Book. I can't do that.
I suggested using a conference phone call. Your message says we will meet
that way for our April meeting. I'd like some info on how to set up a
meeting like I assume we will use. Are you setting up our meeting? How do
you do it? Or is someone else doing it? Any guidance you can provide will
be welcome.

Thanks and stay healthy.

Joe

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the clarification about the Jaws offer. They certainly did not
explain that in their advertising. Remember, Jerry Price may be able to
help you with some of your questions.

We are planning a meeting on the phone on April 7. Talk to you soon and
stay well.

Sharon,

As you know I think, I am in the market for a new version of JAWS. I
haven't pulled the trigger yet so I was interested in this offer. I called
Freedom Scientific and the offer is not as good as I thought. It is aimed
at folks who have to work from home until cofid 19 is over. The free
version will work until June 30 and then it won't. (Although I expect it
may be extended if cofid 19 is still an issue.) So the offer will not help
me. I assume there may be some who can take advantage of it.

BTW and FYI, I called Keith Austin twice and he hasn't returned my calls.
Given the present situation, I am not looking for his help; I will try to go
it alone. Should be interesting.

Thanks.

Joe
