I want to make sure that everyone knows about the state property tax
exemption for blindness. I am attaching the state form that you must fill
out and bring to your county to get the exemption. Read the information
below to understand the exemption:

State law exempts $15,000 of a property's assessed value from the real
property tax obligations of a blind individual or that person's surviving
spouse.

Good luck with getting the exemption if you own your home!

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is
not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise
the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
