Hi All,
Our next NFB chapter meeting on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. is
fast approaching. Due to the corona virus pandemic, this meeting will be
conducted virtually by PHONE instead of in person.

The fall is exciting because it is time for the NFB fundraisers, Blind
Equality Achievement month activities, LBPD technology discussions, the
annual NFB state convention, and so much more!
At our September chapter meeting we discussed basket bingo fundraiser that
we had on September 10th, the annual picnic we had on September 18th, the
NFB October activities, and the start of conversations such as the NFB state
convention, 2022 membership dues, and chapter elections.
Remember the following activities are coming up before our chapter meeting.
a. NFB presidential release on October 1st at noon via Zoom
b. Harry Potter Blind Equality Achievement month in Ellicott city on main
street - October 1, 2, &3 - If you want to volunteer on October 2 please
contact Sharon Maneki
The tentative agenda for the chapter meeting is as follows
1. Recite the NFB pledge: It is at the bottom of this email, so please
practice it before the meeting.
2. Chapter business
a. reading of the June and September minutes
b. treasurer report
c. Inter chapter report
d. announcements
3. Guest speaker - Jerry Price from LBPD who will discuss new technologies
4. Upcoming activities
a. Harry Potter Blind Equality Achievement month in Ellicott city - October
2&3
. b Chapter Blind Equality Achievement month walk around the lake in
Columbia, MD - October 9
c. NFB state convention on November 12-14 (pre-registration ends October 15)
5. Presidential Release
At our chapter meetings, we do our best to listen to the latest NFB
Presidential Release. Due to the timing of our meetings and when the
presidential release is made available, we do not get to listen to the
latest release always. Please make time to listen to the Presidential
Release to hear what is happening within the NFB movement. The latest
