[humanser] seeking music therapist mentors

hi Ashley,

while I'm not a music therapist. I am a therapist and musician. Those 
concerns of being able to read body language always come up by sighted 
therapist but, that’s just b/c they have been trained as a sighted 
therapist. If you could see of course you would focus on the obvious visual 
cues. However, sighted therapist don't place great emphasis on auditory cues 
such as  speech tonality, brief pauses, suddle sighs and speech rate. 
therefore, I see them being impaired as well. Body language might reveal 
things like anxiety, apprehensiveness, shamefulness, frustration... which 
are things you can also deduce from conversation or from natural auditory 
cues previously mentioned. I wouldn't mind being a mentor to your friend 
even though I am not a music therapist but I am a therapist and a musician 
if that helps.
