[humanser] Issues with Pearson View/ASWB Exam

Hi everyone,

I graduated with my MSW last month, and in early June, I was approved by the
ASWB to take the LCSW exam. The accommodations they offered me were a
private room, laptop with a version of the test that's accessible with JAWS,
and a scribe who will record my answers. It's not ideal but it's not
horrible so I took it, though I don't think I have a choice anyway. I have
to schedule my exam through the Pearson View accommodations line because
staff needs to set up accommodations at whatever testing site I'm going to
use. Since I live in Boston, MA, there are thankfully many options for
testing sites that are close to me. Since the beginning of my trying to set
up a time for me to take the test, Pearson View has been very slow and
unhelpful. I have called them many times, and I only got a phone call back
one time from someone who could actually help me. She said that the month of
July is really booked for testing but that she would keep looking for me and
call me back. She never did. Now, over the past couple weeks, I have called
Pearson View accommodations line literally 4 or 5 times, and every single
time, I get someone who simply transfers calls and takes messages, and that
person tells me someone will call me back, and nobody ever does. I've been
promised that someone will call within a certain time frame (e.g. before
noon, the next day, before 6pm that day, etc.) and nobody has called.

I know many of my classmates who got approved to take the exam at the same
time I did who have already taken the exam, passed, and have their LCSW,
while I'm still waiting to be scheduled. I am beyond frustrated and do not
know what to do. Can anybody help me?

Best,

Alyssa
