[humanser] Issues with Pearson View/ASWB Exam

Hi Marion,

Unfortunately, I won't be at the convention. I don't have the money to go.
Is there a way I can reach her? I know that some people on here have
discussed issues with the exam, but I wasn't sure how pervasive the issue
is.

Thanks,
Alyssa

Alyssa,

One of the speakers at this year's Human Service division meeting is
Meghan Sidhu, our legal counsel, who is working on this issue. She needs to
hear from everyone who is facing these challenges in order to demonstrate it
is a pervasive pattern of discrimination.

Fraternally yours,
Marion Gwizdala

Hi all,

I just finally got a call from the Pearson View accommodations scheduling
person. I have a scheduled time to take the exam now, but this process has
been ridiculous. God help me if I need to reschedule it for whatever reason.

Hi Allysa,

When I requested accommodations, I dealt with the NASWB, not the testing
center itself and got my exam in Braille. At this point, I don't know if
you could get Braille. They might be more helpful about scheduling your
test, however. 800-225-6880 and ask for the disability representative.
This was several years ago, so I hope the number is still accurate.
