Subject: [humanser] Convention update

Hello Federation family and interested listers,

I am pleased to announce I have my computer back!!

I would like to take a moment to thank Lisa irving for managing the schedule
of the table in the exhibit hall, as well as working the table. Big thanks
to mary Ann robinson for taking a shift at the exhibit hall table as well.
I would be remiss if I did not Thank Marion Gwizdala for his work at the
table as well as selling keychains while walking around convention. Thank
you to all the board members for taking key chains with you and selling
them. A great big thanks for all of you who worked prior to our meeting. I
caught myself being without something to do and tried hard not to micro
manage.I did catch myself sticking my nose in your tasks and then would
retreat back into the meeting room. Thank you all for marshalling, taking
membership dues, and selling keychains. It is great to have such a great
group of people!! Thank you Marion for the use of the extra microphones so
we could provide members and attendees with one.

I also would love to thank all the scholarship winners who came and spoke at
the meeting. I do not believe we have ever had so many attend and this
demonstrates the need for the division because I would estimate that over
one third of the scholarship winners were at our meeting!!

Thanks to all the panelist that volunteered to share their professions with
the attendees.

A big thanks to Meahgan Sidhu, Valerie Yingling, and Dan Goldstein for
sharing a wealth of knowledge with the membership and attendees. Please
note that if any of you have any issues with accessibility and/or receiving
accommodations in regards to high stakes examinations including practice
examinations, accessibility of electronic health records, and kiosks of any
type please contact Meahgan or Valerie at our National office.

I am very happy to announce the newly elected Board of Directors of the
division:

Merry C. Schoch LCSW, President

Mary Ann Robinson LCSW (not sure if I used correct credentials for MI),
First Vice President

Tyrone Bratcher, Second Vice President

Candice Chapman, Treasurer

Lisa Irving, Secretary

Dennis Sumlin, Board Member

Sarah Meyer, Board Member ($10,000 scholarship winner) - find a video on our
facebook page of Sarah singing at the performing Arts division's talent
show.

You can also find a video of Dennis sumlin, MCing the show and Katie Shelton
singing too! We have a great deal of talent among us!

I want to thank JD Townsend and David Stayer, outgoing board members, who
have been leaders in the division for many many years. I appreciate your
mentorship, leadership, devotion, dedication, and wisdom! I hope both of
you will think about being a part of a committee or two. I appreciate JD
being the scribe for the meeting at convention.

I have in my possession key chains as well as three commemorative mugs from
2014. I will find out shipping costs and then take orders.

What a fabulous 74th anniversary convention!

Thanks to all of you for your membership and involvement on this list!

I have gotten my shot of NFB-12 and am looking forward to a great deal of
positive movement of the division,

Merrry C. Schoch
