[humanser] JAWS 16 and pdf

Hello,
I run across this problem from time to time. The way that I get
around it is to print the document using the freedom scientific option in my
printer list. This has the document open in Open Book and then it can be
read. Of course, this presumes that you have Open Book!
I have a person that takes my pdf textbooks and breaks them into
chapters in Adobe. I am not sure how to do this, but it helps as well. I
will do some research and repost!

P.S. Did you physicaly scan this whole book?

All,

I hope the return from convention finds you rested and well relaxed. My
curiosities are piqued as I make an attempt to read an exciting new book
that I will share with the students with whom I will work. The problem is
this, I just downloaded JAWS 16 on my computer and at the time I was told by
Freedom Scientific that I would be able to access pdf with only the screen
reading software. I have scanned the chapters of the book but, when I open
the chapter I hear "Document unavailable". Is there something that I am
doing wrong or something that I need to do? I ask because I have found so
many on this list have great accessibility fixes. The book is a great
resource for anyone who does group work in your therapy provision. Rutan,
S., Stone, W., & Shay, J. (2014). Psychodynamic Group Psychotherapy (5th
ed.). New York, NY: The Guilford Press.

Eagerly awaiting feedback.

Thanks.

Mary Tatum Chappell, Psy. D.
