[humanser] Paying to Join the Federation

Hi all, these are my thoughts:

If there is anyone who needs assistance to join, I'm sure we can help out as
we do with every event, activity or cause. Often when things are just given
as in free membership, there is no need to play a larger role, after all,
membership is voted on and also paid for, and if you have not given
anything, then you also have nothing to lose--This might
Not be a good thing if we are leading our own movement. And of course, as it
has been said, where would money to run our organization come from? We are
the National Federation of the blind, this belongs to us, we are not the
National Federation for the blind.

My first thought is "where else would money come from"? Not to mention all
the assistance, guidance, and advocacy that comes from the NFB for free.
Who will pay for simple things like roomspace, administrative stuff like
stamps, receipt books, , and small things the Chapter needs?

Dear Members,

What benefits will I receive by paying to join the federation? I think blind
people should be able to join the federation without having to pay for it.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
