[humanser] traveling

Good point about the SDI impairment-related work expenses. While SSI allows
for tons of deductions; SDI does NOT. SDI allows for "spend down" when it
comes to traveling from "home to the office and back to home" The rules are
not clear about traveling from home to off-site work sites and then from the
off-site workplace back to the office.

I was at a recent coalition meeting and heard a presentation which addressed
some of what we're talking about. I also contacted the 800 SSA folks. I
spoke to some one who really went out of his way to explain what I can and
cannot count. For example, while I can count my service animal's food and
vet care I can not count grooming expenses. Go figure. The ADA says "clean"
One would think SSA would be onboard with the ADA. Lol.

Good point Justin. Doesn't matter whether your part or full-time if you're
just starting out? I know she's on probation because she just started. Just
curious for future reference.
