[humanser] cancellation of the Legislation and Advocacy committee meeting this evening

Hello  All,

 

The Legislation and Advocacy committee meeting has been canceled for
tonight.  To provide you all an update in this area, a letter will be sent
this week to the entities that own the licensing exams inviting them to the
division meeting at our national convention.  I have also spoken with and
requested in writing a representative from the Guide Dog Foundation who
trains service dogs for veterans who have PTSD to come and speak to us about
the dogs training, what tasks they provide, and other interesting
information that may be useful for mental health clinicians to know.

The Board of Directors  will meet on Sunday, May 1st @ 8:00 pm EST.
Interested members and guest may join the meeting; however, only the Board
votes on matters that need to be voted on.  After a topic is discussed with
the board and there is time, I will ask input from guests participants.  

Fundraising ideas would be greatly appreciated; please send ideas to me
since we haven't come up with an item that "wows"  us!
