Rebecca,

I think incorporating a screen reader into your workflow would increase your efficiency and productivity with paperwork.
You could for instance let JAWS do the heavy lifting for you like navigating through documents to find specific pieces of information then use your magnification to actually read the information in detail. I generally find the search key command useful for jumping to specific parts of documents if i'm familiar with their layout.
You might consider looking at VFO/Freedom Scientific's package called Fusion which is a combination of JAWS and ZoomText in one. Finally, keyboard commands are many times found to be faster in many instances than pointing and clicking with the mouse.
Wishing you all the best with your training and let us know how you're doing.

I am not sure if I need to spend more time to become more efficient in using a screen reader and switch over to using JAWS? I just struggle with spending so much additional time to complete basic paperwork. For example completing monthly progress reports and having to sort through paper charts to obtain drug screen results in order to complete a monthly progress report to include recent drug screen results.
