Hello All,

The next meeting of the At-Large Chapter will take place on Tuesday, May 19.
The National President's message begins at 7:30 following by the meeting
from 8 to 9pm.  During this meeting we will elect officers for the coming
year, talk about the National Convention and other events, and talk about
the article that I will send again in a separate message.  For your

At Large Chapter Meeting minutes for April 21, 2020 

The Presidential Release was played at 7:30 PM 

The meeting was started at 8:00 Pm by Margarete Woods, President 

There were approximately 20 members on the call 

Round Robin took place, which is where everyone announces themselves who is
attending the meeting. After each person announce themselves, they told the
rest of the members on the call something that they liked or remembered from
attending an NFB National Convention.

NFB Pledge was led by Charles 

Ronza informed us that the National Convention for 2020 is going virtual 

It will be held from Tuesday, July 14th through Saturday, July 18th through
different methods using zoom or by phone. The Maryland affiliate will try to
get together depending on the governor's orders.  Please go to www.nfb.org
<http://www.nfb.org>  to register for the convention. Registration closes on
June 15th.  

Ronza shared the following information that the Maryland affiliate is doing
to help members through Covid-19.

*	The Maryland affiliate is holding weekly affiliate calls on
Wednesdays at 8:00 PM. The first hour of each meeting is spent sharing
updated information and new resources related to COVID-19, and the remainder
of the meeting as a forum for members to connect socially.  Sometimes there
may be a guest speaker.

*	the NFBMD Financial Assistance Committee has established an
affiliate COVID-19 fund to assist their members and families that are
experiencing financial hardship during the COVID-19 crisis.  This fund is
available to blind individuals and families with a blind household member
living in Maryland.  The financial help must be needed due to a change in
circumstance, such as a loss of employment income, because of COVID-19, or
associated government directives like the Stay-at-Home order.  Assistance is
limited to essentials such as groceries and medication.  Anyone requesting

 Anyone who would like to contribute to the NFBMD COVID-19 Emergency
