Hello All,

Our first meeting of 2026 will be tomorrow, January 20 at 7:30 PM. The
meeting will begin with the playing of The National President's Message. We
will learn about the new talking book machine and we will talk about our
Constitution. If you miss it, it will be too bad, so come!  For your

NFBMD At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for December 16, 2025



The Presidential Release was played at 7:30 Pm.

The meeting was started at 8:00 PM by Marguerite Woods, President.

The round robin took place. Everyone announced themselves, stated where
they are in the state, and answered the question are you attending the
state convention in person or virtually?

There were approximately 25 members on the call.



Mary Brown and Wendy R Sorrels became members tonight. There was a motion
made to accept them as new members. It was seconded and approved.



Sharon gave two treasurer’s reports. One from August and the second one was
from October.



Treasurer’s Report August 19, 2025

Opening date: 3/1/25-Closing date: 7/31/25



Opening Balance March 1, 2025, $940.08

Income: March: $20 Donation & $5 Dues, April: $100 Donation & $5 Dues, May:
$50 Donation & $25 repayment for cashing what we thought was a lost check
that we reissued

Total Income: $205



Expenses: March: $25 Alice Lanier (a replacement check for previous lost
check) & PAC $5, April: PAC $5, May: $5 PAC, June: $80 National Banquet
Ticket for someone, $86.40 to Marguerite transportation for fundraiser
planning, & $5 PAC, & July: $5 PAC

Total Expenses: $216.40



Opening balance: $940.08 plus Income: $205 minus Expenses: $216.40 equals
$928.68

 Ending Balance July 31, 2025, $928.68



 A motion was made to accept the treasurer’s report from August. It was
seconded and approved



Treasurer’s Report October 31, 2025

Opening date: 8/1/25-Closing date: 10/31/25



Opening Balance: August 1, 2025, $928.68

Income: Zelle $96.00 Movie, October 28: deposit: $372.00 Movie, October 31
deposit: $125 Lifetime Membership (Mary Brown), $24 Movie, & $50 Donation
(Total deposit $199.00)

Total Income: $571.00



Expenses: August: $5 PAC & $100 Food for David Luckett at Convention,
September: $5 PAC, & October: $5 PAC

Total Expenses: $115.00



Opening balance: $928.68 plus Income: $571.00 minus Expenses: $115.00
equals $1,384.68

Ending Balance October 31, 2025, $1,384.68



A motion was made to accept the treasurer’s report for October. It was
seconded and approved.



Barry made a motion to purchase door prizes for state convention. It was
seconded and approved.



The nominating committee was Don, Chair and Alice and Harvey were also on
the committee. Don gave the nominating committee report. A motion was made
to accept the nominating committee report. It was seconded and approved.



Elections took place and here are the results:

President: Marguerite Woods

Vice President: Sondra Burchette

Secretary: Danielle Earl

Treasurer: Sharon Maneki

Board Position 1: Judy Nelson

Board Position 2: Rania Dima



Throughout elections taking place members played their favorite Christmas
songs. Here is what the members played:

Dezman played Have a very merry Christmas on his saxophone.

Charles Played Christmas for Crabs

Sondra played Rocking Around the Christmas Tree

Danielle played Little Drummer’s boy

Sharon played I wanted a hippopotamus for Christmas

Marguerite played Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Silent Night

Rania played Mama in its cold outside

Don played Merry gentleman



The meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM.
