[nabs-l] A Soul-Searching Exercise

Good afternoon Ashley and listers,

Are you willing to do this for NABS? Make the recording and I'm sure it
will be posted on your Web site. If someone does this and if they're looking
for a career in broadcasting or professional recording such a project would
be one for the resume. --

If I'm asked by the Living History Group to record the meeting I'm glad
to do it,but there are many talented members of this division capable of
handling such a project.

Now for the big question. If you can't find a way to record your
division meetings and activities how in the Hell are you going to bring the
NFB and ACB together!? Recall that earlier this week I likened that project
a kin to blowing up the Hoover Dam and rebuilding it without being berried
in the concreet. I think that at this point in timeconcentrating on such
initiatives as recording and posting the meeting recordings online is a much
smaller task and one that in its own way will contribute to reaching new
blind students including ACB NABS Members with our message and correct
information about the NFB. Will you rise to the challenge?

Peter Donahue

Peter and Jim,
Its disappointing that the employment seminar will not be recorded. I do
understand Jim's frustration. But I see where Arielle is coming from in
terms of funding. NABs did not want to fund it because its an event
targeted to everyone not just students.

Maybe next year's will be recorded. For now I second what you said Peter.
Please make it a priority to
record the nabs meeting and post it to the division website. I would
listen. I think it will be beneficial for all then.

Ashley
