I would be fine talking to a live person at the checkin counter.

That'd be ok.

However, if all the airlines are changing to this touch screen tech, it'd be more likely for them to simply make it accessible.

Like the article stated, its better to just make it accessible from the ground up, rather then start to retrofit it though.
