iWork works really well, but be aware that there is a learning curve and that you will have to get used to doing things in a way that has very little to do with Word. But once you get it, it is very efficient, straightforward and quick to use. You can download a demo from Apple's website and try the full version for 30 days. The same thing is possible with Nisus writer, so I would suggest that you try both and decide what you like.
