[nabs-l] Question for blind students

I definitely have! In fact, most faculty and staff are very
helpful and understanding; it just depends on the person. I
think sometimes we get so caught up in the negative things that
happen to us when it comes to our interactions with other people,
especially about blindness, that we forget about the positive
majority of things that happen to us.

Thanks to those who have responded so far.

My presentation is tomorrow morning during the 9:00 hour. Other
disabilities are also represented.

It is primarily a personal sharing about our experiences, but I
want
to also get some feedback from the list.

I agree with the campus layout being somewhat hard to navigate
and
challenges with handouts and online material.

I meant to ask this in my original e-mail, but has anyone had
positive
experiences with faculty, staff, classroom and campus?

Thanks,
Osmond

 Dear All,

I was just invited to give a ten minute presentation to an
audience of
faculty and administrators about the challenges sight impaired
individuals face in the classroom and on campus. I am the only
sight
impaired student represented. I wanted to ask those on the list
if you
could share some challenges you face on campus and in the
classroom
that faculty and administrators should know.

 Thanks,
 Osmond
