Sorry, until cd stores all close and they stop producing audio cds, I don't
agree. you can still order cds from amazon and
go to borders and get some; random house produces comericial audio books.
Humanware does have one cd player to my knowledge. This daisy cd player is
the
vr reader stratus. However its real expensive. I also cannot download
learning ally books.
I want the ease of access that sighted people get. Popping a cd in my player

is ease of access to me.

And, if you were multiple disabled, you would not be able to use the
internet and jump through the 10 hoops it requires to download books!.

Hello Ashley and everyone,

Chock it up to changing technology. SD cards and Web downloads are
quickly replacing CDS. CDS will soon go the way of audio and videocassettes.
It's a matter of "Adapt or be left behind." You'll get the hang of the
technology with a little determination. All the best.

Hi all,

My last message was cut off.
I like the ease of daisy cds.
But products for them are being discontinued.
Increasingly, we are getting only devices that play sd cards so you have to
download books. That is fine if you are tech savvy and have an internet
connection and the site is accessible. For some, those variables do not
exist though.
Besides, I want to just pop a book in a player; its easier than downloading
for me.
I was on learning ally's site and saw this disappointing news. Well, I
actually knew they discontinued the classic and bibe.

It said,
"The following players are no longer available for purchase at Learning
Ally, but training and support materials are available for the Victor Reader
Wave, Victor Reader Vibe and Victor Reader ClassicX+ "
The players they sell include the plextalk and vr stream.

So what player do you use? I saw that learning ally sells and supports the
vr stream and plextalk. what is the plextalk?
I know humanware came out with the new vr stratus but of course its so
expensive. even more expensive than the vr stream!
I think the book sense is a daisy player too, but I don't think it plays
cds.
Gee.
