Hi Rj this is a great question.  Braille has had a tremendous 
impact on my life.  I use braille on a daily basis to read and 
write documents, type on my IPad, send emails, surf the net, and 
schedule appointments.  I also use braille to take my exams at 
school.  If a person who is going blind ask why they should learn 
br, I would tell them that they need braille in order to read and 
write.
