Aloha Adriana,

I completely agree with your idea. It is a great thing to do, and I hope that more and more people do that. I often try to get email addresses and then send emails to the legislators and their staff, copying my state president and the national office government affairs team member who works most on the issues I'm discussing. From my experience with contact forms, I often get generic replies without a real person with whom to follow up, so I treat that as a second-best option.

I love your spirit and would love to add you to the Legislative Advocacy Committee if you'd like to get involved. Please reach out to me off-list if you're interested. Call/text is probably best.

Mahalo!

Justin

Subject: [NABS-L] Another way to make our voice heard for Aim High Act

  Hello everyone!
I see that the campaign for AIM High Act has started. While some students are filling out questionnaires, sharing Facebook posts, and writing their testimonies in other ways, I thought to express my idea for communicating with state representatives.
Now that everything has expanded electronically, our representatives, senators, and congressmen now have websites. Through these websites, we can contact our representatives, and express how AIM High will benefit us As a blind community.
I hope my idea helps in any way. Have a wonderful remainder of your vacation, and a successful start of your second semester! Take care everyone!

Thank you,
Adriana Banos Mendez
