3D Printing Internship 2026

MDTAP is seeking to hire two interns to support the expansion of our 3D Printing Program!

Details

·    16 week internship (Feb-June 2026), approximately 10 hours per week
·    Hybrid schedule ~ 80% telework, 20% on-premises at 2301 Argonne Dr. in Baltimore
·    Interns will receive $5,000 stipend upon completion of internship and required tasks

Desired Qualifications/Skills

·    Some experience with and access to CAD software
·    Some experience with disability and assistive technology and/or engineering design
·    Comfort with creation of digital content such as short-form videos, graphics and design

Position Duties

·    Create digital marketing materials for promotion of the program and education around 3D printing and assistive technology, with a focus on short-form videos for social media.
·    Research and design 3D printed assistive technologies to be integrated into the program.
·    Research, identify and conduct direct outreach to groups of people who may benefit from participation in the program.
·    Collaborate with program coordinator and participants to design and fabricate custom assistive technology devices for specific individuals.
·    Troubleshoot issues with printers and printing/CAD process
