Was this recorded? If yes, would it be possible to receive a copy?

This is happening soon! We’d love to have you join us! Here’s the original text again for your convenience.

Ever wanted to record your own audio or make your own music but felt overwhelmed by all the gear and jargon? You’re not alone. Between microphones, interfaces, laptops, software, and weird words like “MIDI,” the first steps can feel impossible to navigate.

On Sunday, December 14th at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, join sound designer, music producer, and Performing Arts Division vice president Reggie Herbert for a practical, no-nonsense walk through what you actually need to get started. We’ll talk about what matters, what doesn’t, how little money you can realistically spend, and which tools are accessible from day one – including why Reaper keeps getting recommended.

All are welcome! You don’t need deep tech knowledge to attend. We’ll stick to the basics, explain everything clearly, and leave time at the end for questions. If you want to pursue audio seriously, stronger screen-reader skills will help, but this call is built for beginners.

Reggie releases his hobbyist music under the name Quantum Dreamer. Listen at the link below:
