Hello Allison, Laurie, Rox'E, and All,
I love leash guiding and I am very thankful and grateful that GDF teaches
the technique to its dogs. I wish every Guide Dog Program taught leash
guiding because I think it is that useful. Allison, I used to panick
whenever I got lost, but over time I have learned to assess the situation
that I find myself in and then take the appropriate steps to resolve it. I
bet you can teach Gilbert to leash guide as long as you are patient with
him. Don't expect too much too fast and you will be all right.
