It is a swell idea.  The school didn't allow it, though, since they had no
say.

Whether a school that retains ownership of the dog would allow any such
thing is beyond me. /smile/  I get the impression some do match "retrains"
with new handlers through their regular program.  Don't know about personal
hand-offs, though.  It would be very interesting to find out.

Oh this is so positive I will try again,
Are all of the schools allowing folks to use a guide if they have been 
guide users for years and waiting for another dog?
I always thought that the dog was someones pet, and the harness went 
back to the school.
I didn't think or know that the school would be so kind to allow a dog 
to still be a team with someone.
I asked if this is happening with all schools.
I think it is grate if it is.
Nothing to do with this team by itself.
I hope I explained it better.
