[nagdu] update on my questions

Hey, that looks nice!

I am glad to hear somebody else catches themselves getting out of position
with their dog. /smile/ There I'll be, wondering what the heck is wrong
with this dog today... And then I notice! It's what the heck is wrong with
me. /smile/

Ias long as everyone else is wet from the snow, you just fit in. No
worries! /grin/

Has Monty worked in snow before? It would be interesting to hear how he
does. We don't have snow yet, but we're supposed to sooner rather than
later. Any snow at all is just weird for Portland, but this will be the
second year in a row for us. Yeah, I know. Cry you a river! /grin/
Portland drivers, the majority of them, have no idea how to drive in snow,
so poking your nose out the door if someone's driving by is a hazardous
move! So I only "worked" Mitzi once on the snow last year, after it had
turned to slick, slick ice. She was on leash, and I was slipping and
sliding along behind her, remembering how to keep my balance on the greasy
wet stuff. She was amazing, though. She watched me and didn't pull (we
were on our way to the dog park, so that was something!) except to help me
balance and find the right way to go. This winter, if we do have snow, I
want to find a safe place for me to practice working with her on ice. Also,
I now have my mountain snow boots out of storage! So it won't be a case of
skate guiding. /smile/

Thanks for sharing!

Subject: [nagdu] update on my questions

Hello all!

First I ended up ordering:
http://www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/Rosetti-Pebbled-Leather-Crossbody-Ba
g/4329349/product.html

I got it yesterday. I haven't used it yet, but I am pleased with the purse
and how it fits when wearing it diagonally. I think it will work out well.

I have also figured out my wet pant leg issue. After thinking about it and
paying more attention to things I have noticed that when I am going very
fast or Monty is pulling harder than usual or when I am hesitant, I let my
arm out ahead of me more. When I do this it moves me closer to him. I bump
into him more and of course water and mud from his feet is closer to me. So
I just need to pay more attention to my positioning and I think that will
solve the problem.

Or at least as much of it as can be solved. Right now there is an amazing
amount of snow on the ground. I'm not sure if it is possible to go anywhere
and not experience some level of getting wet and snowy.

Only four more months and then it'll start getting warm again! LOL

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Julie
