Kathy,
    I would tell the employment placement specialist to not worry a thing 
about your guide; rather, concern should be given to finding you a job and 
not mentioning anything about the guide dog. Employers cannot discriminate 
against you because of your choice to use a guide dog. You are the best 
qualified to discuss your use of the dog, not the employment specialist. 
Stand firm on this issue of not discussing the dog first, as it will more 
certainly than not result in discrimination!
    As for any proof, your credible assertions that you are disabled and 
your dog is a service animal is all anyone needs to know. Any more than that 
is a violation of your civil rights under the ADA. If you need more
