Yes, that was how I was taught to use the escallator, too--healing the dog 
on and giving it room o jump off. The first time I was trained to do it by 
lifting the dog on and off with the backstrap, but then at convention Lukas 
saw that mine didn't need the extra, and that dog was at a point where he 
was really too heavy for me to do that anyway.
