[nagdu] crate training

Hi all,

speaking of kraits I have just bought one for Adrian. I am hoping that it
will calm him down and I hope to teach him to go to his place when people
come to the house or the studio where we work or when he hears noises that
make him bark. I am not sure that he has been crate trained so I was
wondering what you guys do to make it a good experience with the dog? It has
been there and he sniffed it and once went in but I must admit I ruined it
because I praised him for doing so and he came out for a treat. I have also
clicker trained him a little for getting in there. I have put his bone in
there but he goes in grabs it and goes out.I am considering removing his bed
and putting the crate in its place to suggest that the crate is a place for
rest but am curious of other people's tactic. It is a soft crate so I am a
bit reluctant to just put him in there and close him off. He is pretty
compliant but in any case I'd prefer him lying down in it without having to
lock him up first. then if I want to I can always close the flap.

Any insight is very appreciated.

Thanks, Ginger. I think I have the Pet Edge one that cost around $60.00.
that sounds about right and I found the crate good - no problem after two
years of every night use!
