Yeah, GDF has definitely moved up in my list of schools to apply to if I
decide on the program route next time... Mitzi's funny, because she, too,
is a safety first kinda girl -- even when she is apparently being super
squirrelly... Which, thank heavens, so appears to have grown out of over
the last couple of years. She's still a busy sort of guide, and she still
has her sniffy days, but she pretty much works like a grown up professional.
Whew! /grin/ I really like the way she focuses all that former puppy
nonsense into awareness of what's going on around us and what she needs to
do about it.

I love that GDF teaches this. My dog also does this; I have horrible
vertigo and she has learned through trial and lots and lots of error
not to start with steps unless I show her by putting my foot on the
step that I know it is there. She will also refuse to go if my hand
isn't on the rail if there is one.
We jokingly call Laveau "safety first" because she is super careful
with me.
The more I hear about GDF the more impressed I am.
