I have 2 kinds of soft sided crates both gotten from www.petedge.com a
number of years ago, not sure which ones they sell still. The first kind is
called "It'z a Breeze Too" and they are very light weight but can be a
challenge to get together since the 2 poles that you need to get into the
top are spring loaded and you have to push down hard on them to get them to
squeeze short enough to then let pop into the holes. This one is made of
very sturdy canvas and I've had 2 of them for over 10 years and they are
still in great shape. The other kind I have is a slightly lighter weight
and much easier to put together, but it isn't as sturdy canvas so I wouldn't
trust a dog who say will scratch the sides of the crate in it. It is also
not as ventilated so I would hesitate to put a dog in it in on a hot day
outside. That one to put it together you just have to unfold it then the 2
ends zipper into place, very, very easy to put together and it doesn't
collapse on the dog at all. That one is made by Guardian Gear and called
the Canine Camper. I also have another type of collapsible crate that I got
at www.cleanrun.com that actually puts together the same as a human camping
tent with 2 interlocking tent poles and it looks exactly like a human
camping tent only dog size and it is called the Instent Dog Haus tent. I
really like this one for travel as it collapses into a very small duffle bag
and is very lightweight and easy to transport. I used to use that one with
James when I had to fly somewhere as it was easy to pack in my suit case but
still sturdy enough for him to stay in when I needed to put him in it at an
event. Actually I just looked, clean run sells all 3 of these crates that I
just mentioned on this page here:

58> &category_ID=158 (and yes I have a habit of collecting crates, it's a
very bad habit.)
