Besides the fact that not that many issues come up, is doesn't hurt to gradually learn what your rights are in given situations, such as, say at zoos, or on cruise ships, or what. But there are plenty of folk here who will help you if such an eventuality occurs both in and outside of Iowa and on the list. Also, there will undoubtedly be some discussion of such issues at your school. Mostly it won't color the joy you will have with your new dog and the new adventures you will have.
